Transfer Ivangorod — Shumilkino: to the border opposite Luhamaa
Shumilkino stands where the Riga — Pskov road enters Estonia; across the border is Luhamaa. From Ivangorod it is about 305 kilometres and roughly five hours: via Gdov and Pskov, with the last stretch past Izborsk. Where Luhamaa leads. The Estonian road from the crossing goes to Võru, then to Tartu and further north. There is no scheduled transport at Luhamaa, so it is best to book the onward trip right away: after control our car meets you — to Narva for €200, about 285 km, or to Tallinn for €160.
Two cars. A separate car drives you to the crossing in Russia, the Estonian one waits on the other side, and you go through control between them yourself.

From Ivangorod to Luhamaa

Tell us who is going and where
We need the date, the number of passengers and the final destination after Luhamaa, if it is in Estonia. We set the meeting point in Ivangorod in advance so the driver does not have to look for you around town. The town is in the border zone — check its rules before the trip.

Luhamaa works from 7:00 to 19:00 Estonian time, and after control it is about another 3 h 40 min to Narva. So we set the departure from Ivangorod early in the morning, so that the queue at control does not eat up the whole margin.

Via Pskov to the Riga road
The first half of the way is Kingisepp, Slantsy, Gdov. Pskov is the largest town on the route; after it the car turns onto the Riga — Pskov road and runs past Izborsk to the border itself.

The Russian car stops at the checkpoint and you go through control yourself.
