Transfer Ivangorod — Kunichina Gora: into Estonia bypassing the Narva crossing

From Ivangorod you can enter Estonia not only over the bridge into Narva but also further south — through Kunichina Gora, the Russian side of the crossing opposite Estonia's Koidula. The Narva crossing is pedestrian only, its queue can be long and its hours change; if it does not suit you, we drive you to Kunichina Gora: about 295 kilometres along Lake Peipus, roughly five hours. The price is ₽25,000 for the whole car, up to four passengers with luggage.

What the price covers

  • The fare is fixed before departure: traffic and night trips do not change it
  • Pickup at the airport and cruise port — the driver waits with a name board
  • If your flight is delayed we wait as long as needed, at no extra cost
  • A child seat on request, and no surcharge for luggage
  • Pay in cash, by card or by bank transfer; no prepayment required

In short. The Ivangorod — Kunichina Gora transfer costs ₽25,000 per car, not per seat: one passenger or four, the sum is the same. The road is about 295 km and five hours via Kingisepp, Slantsy, Gdov, Pskov and Pechory. The return trip, from the crossing to Ivangorod, is priced on request.

What comes next. We drop you at the checkpoint and you go through control yourself. On the Estonian side, at Koidula, you can book our car: to Narva €200, to Tallinn €160. The Estonian car does not cross the border, so the way from Ivangorod to Narva or Tallinn is two trips in different cars — both can be arranged in one conversation.

How long it takes. Reaching Narva via Koidula takes a whole day: about five hours in Russia, control, then about 270 km more in Estonia. Ivangorod and Narva are separated only by a river, so people take this route when the Narva crossing does not suit them.

Kunichina Gora, Koidula and Narva: what matters

Who the detour suits
Those for whom the pedestrian crossing at Narva does not work: the queue is too long, the hours do not fit the dates, or you carry a lot. And those who find it easier to start their Estonian journey from the south — from Tartu or Koidula.
The crossing works in the daytime
Roughly 7:00 to 19:00, but the hours change, so check them before the trip. We plan both the departure from Ivangorod and the meeting with our car at Koidula around them.
One crossing, two names
Kunichina Gora is the Russian side and Koidula the Estonian side: it is a single crossing. We arrange our car on the Estonian side "at Koidula" — the driver waits there after you clear control.
If Shumilkino suits you better
The second southern crossing is Shumilkino, opposite Luhamaa; the price from Ivangorod is the same, ₽25,000. The drive there is a little longer, and Luhamaa is further from Narva than Koidula: about 285 km against 270.
